I love this song so much. On one hand Yusuf/Cat Stevens, who since young is transmitting important and wise messages, in such a wonderful music, with a beautiful voice. On the other hand his father, who wished to help with his advices: these were however absolutely not adapted to his son. Not because the father wasn't wise, but because he didn't listen to his son, nor realized how clearsighted and talented his son already was... nor gave his son the opportunity for connection, during which the father could have realize, could have adapt... My opinion is not that this led to a dramatic departure. Because I believe that Yusuf/Cat Stevens did the most logical thing in going away: find another way (than this endlessly blocked situation) to be himself and be free to do what he believes in. Well, it's so much easier to try to understand one's own situation thanks to trying to understand other people's situations... Sorry if I understood it wrongly, but I am certainly admiring the tremendous human qualities which are yours, Yusuf/Cat Stevens. Hope you never ever must leave for them, and I'm so very happy that you seem to be lucky in your life. Thank you for wonderful, original music and for sharing it with us all!🌟🙋
